The go-to-gal at Clever Hands Press, Caitlin handles the business end of the operation. She has a masters in psychology, but would rather work with her hands, her sister Cara and clients to create a fashionable medium for your self-expression.
Our Technology
We print with a Solid Ink Printer. Solid ink is unique printing technology that falls between lithography (like magazines or posters) and Thermography or Engraving (raised like the printing found on many business cards.) Our printer places the ink on top of the paper, rather than the ink being absorbed into the paper fibers, but is only very slightly raised and textured.
Clever Hands Press uses technology and supplies that are environmentally friendly. Solid ink printers generate 90% less waste during use than laser printers. Many of our cardstocks are made from recycled, containing up to 30% post-consumer waste.
Our Process
When one of our clients wants customized correspondence, we work together over email to create a unique design. We send digital sketches until the correspondence is exactly what our client had envisioned. At that point, we send a sample proof for final approval. Once a design is created it becomes part of our "ready-for-purchase" items, so our store is growing each and every day!
